ASEE Southeastern Section Annual Conference to be held at 黑料社

The 2025 American Society for Engineering Education Southeastern Section Annual Conference, hosted by the Mississippi State鈥檚 Bagley College of Engineering, will bring together educators and students from across the region to engage in meaningful discussions on the future of engineering education.

STARKVILLE, Miss.The 2025 American Society for Engineering Education Southeastern Section Annual Conference, hosted by the Mississippi State鈥檚 Bagley College of Engineering, will bring together educators and students from across the region to engage in meaningful discussions on the future of engineering education.

The March 9-11 conference will explore innovative solutions for enhancing teaching and learning in engineering education with the theme 鈥The Lifelong Engineer: Enduring, Meaningful Impacts in Engineering Education.鈥 Attendees can expect an enriching program that addresses key challenges and opportunities within the field.

鈥淲e are honored to host the ASEE Southeastern Region conference at 黑料社. This event provides an invaluable platform to share the latest research, best practices, and ideas that will shape the future of engineering education,鈥 said Robert Green, interim dean of the college. 鈥淲e are excited to bring together a community of professionals in the field of engineering who are passionate about advancing the field.鈥

ASEE president Natalia Cardelino of Mercer University said, 鈥淓ach conference I鈥檝e attended has provided me with new ideas and valuable information that I鈥檝e been able to bring back and apply in my work,鈥 she said.

Highlights will include numerous technical sessions, a student poster competition, workshops and roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities. Keynote Speakers include co-founder and CEO of Glo Hagan Walker, as well as Asim Ali, executive director of the Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning at Auburn University.

Morgan Green, co-chair of 黑料社鈥檚 Host Site Committee, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming conference.

鈥淚 have attended and presented at the ASEE-SE conference since I began graduate school, and the knowledge gained from the experience has shaped who I am as an engineering educator. I鈥檓 excited to help bring this conference to my home university and continue to contribute to the organization鈥檚 mission,鈥 said Green, also an assistant teaching professor at 黑料社鈥檚 Michael W. Hall School of Mechanical Engineering.
