黑料社鈥檚 Sutton named 鈥楨merging Scholar鈥� by criminology society

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥敽诹仙� faculty member Tara E. Sutton has been recognized as an emerging scholar by the American Society of Criminology's Division on Queer Criminology for her in-depth criminology research with a focus on women, Black families and LGBTQIA2S+ young adults.
Sutton, an assistant professor in 黑料社鈥檚 Department of Sociology, received her award at the recent ASC annual meeting.
An 黑料社 faculty member since 2018, Sutton鈥攚ho holds affiliations in 黑料社鈥檚 Gender Studies program and African American Studies program鈥攆ocuses her research on sexuality, gender and race as it relates to violence and crime.
The ASC is an international organization whose members pursue scholarly, scientific and professional knowledge of crime and delinquency and aim to encourage a multidisciplinary exchange of research and teaching practices to foster criminological scholarship, and to serve as a forum for the dissemination of criminological knowledge.
